RESUMEN
La protección y mejora del entorno constituye, además de una preocupación social, un factor estratégico de competitividad con un elevado peso en el sector productivo, el que tiene la responsabilidad de gestionar adecuadamente el ambiente con las actividades humanas, a través de instrumentos que estimulen y viabilicen esa tarea, sin embargo, aún persisten problemas que limitan el adecuado manejo de los residuos y desechos de la industria sobre los recursos naturales, por lo que se hace necesario priorizar la educación ambiental en las empresas. De dicha situación no queda exenta la comunidad de trabajadores de la Unidad Empresarial de Base Industria y Distribución de la Empresa Pesquera de Pinar del Rio. En esta institución se observan diversas problemáticas ambientales relacionadas con la contaminación sonora, por residuales líquidos y sólidos, uso inadecuado de medios de protección, entre otros que motivaron la realización de la presente investigacion, de ahí que el objetivo fundamental de la investigación es diseñar un Programa de Educación Ambiental para la comunidad de trabajadores de esta institución. Para desarrollar la investigacion se emplearon los métodos histórico-lógico, sistémico-estructural y la investigación acción-participativa, así como las técnicas, de la encuesta y la observación. La implementación del programa permitió aumentar los conocimientos, valores y percepción de la problemática ambiental, la búsqueda de soluciones y una disminución de los impactos ambientales negativos existentes.

ABSTRACT:
The protection and improvement of the environment constitutes, in addition to a social concern, a strategic factor of competitiveness with a high weight in the productive sector, which has the responsibility of properly managing the environment with human activities, through instruments that stimulate and make this task feasible, however, there are still problems that limit the proper management of industrial waste and waste over natural resources, so it is necessary to prioritize environmental education in companies. The community of workers of the Industrial and Distribution Base Business Unit of the Pinar del Rio Fishing Company is not exempt from this situation. In this institution there are various environmental problems related to noise pollution, liquid and solid waste, improper use of means of protection, among others that motivated the realization of the present investigation, hence the fundamental objective of the investigation is to design an Environmental Education Program for the community of workers of this institution. To develop the research, historical-logical, systemic-structural and action-participatory research methods were used, as well as survey and observation techniques. The implementation of the program allowed to increase the knowledge, values and perception of the environmental problem, the search for solutions and a reduction of the existing negative environmental impacts.
