PAPEL PERIÓDICO DE LA HAVANA, EL ROSTRO DE UNA NACIÓN

RESUMEN

El presente trabajo es resultado de la maestría en Educación Ciudadana y aborda un tema que resulta muy importante en la formación de la nacionalidad cubana, la significación práctica de la primera publicación periódica de las letras cubanas: Papel Periódico de la Havana, surgido justo cuando comenzaban a sentirse los síntomas de la cultura propia en Cuba y en momentos en que el espíritu nacional empezaba a aflorar. El rotativo además constituyó una vía para volcar los anhelos de la sociedad criolla, en proceso de convertirse en nacionalidad y en cuyas páginas podemos encontrar el origen de la narrativa cubana. Técnicamente hablando, la creación de este periódico, marca el verdadero inicio del periodismo en Cuba.

HAVANA NEWSPAPER, THE FACE OF A NATION

ABSTRACT

This work is the result of the master's degree in Citizen Education and addresses an issue that is very important in the formation of Cuban nationality, the practical significance of the first periodic publication of Cuban letters: Havana Newspaper, which emerged just when they began to feel the symptoms of one's own culture in Cuba and at a time when the national spirit was beginning to emerge. The newspaper also constituted a way to overturn the wishes of the Creole society, in the process of becoming a nationality and in whose pages we can find the origin of the Cuban narrative. Technically speaking, the creation of this newspaper marks the true beginning of journalism in Cuba.
