LA UNIVERSIDAD CUBANA: RETOS ACTUALES

RESUMEN

Mientras el mundo se debate en temas relacionados con el papel que deben desempeñar las universidades en la coyuntura actual o el modelo de universidad que se necesita para dar respuesta a los imperativos de la globalización; la universidad cubana enfrenta importantes retos en la formación del profesional universitario que demanda el siglo XXI; en su camino hacia la excelencia académica y en el contexto de la pandemia del Covid 19, desempeñado un papel protagónico. De sus aulas han surgido innumerables personalidades que han trascendido en las diferentes esferas de  la vida de la nación cubana. Divulgar tales retos, es el propósito esencial de este trabajo para poder valorar el significado de estas instituciones de educación superior como fragua imprescindible en la construcción de una nueva sociedad  más próspera y sostenible.

THE CUBAN UNIVERSITY: CURRENT CHALLENGES

SUMMARY

While the world is debated in topics related with the paper that should carry out the universities in the current joint or the university pattern that it is needed to give answer to the imperatives of the globalization; the Cuban university faces important challenges in the university professional's formation that demands the XXI century in its road toward the academic excellence and in the context of the pandemic of the Covid 19, carried out a protagonistic paper. Of its classrooms countless personalities that have transcended in the social, cultural life and politics of the Cuban nation have arisen. To know and to disclose such challenges is the essential purpose of this work to be able to value the meaning of these institutions of superior education as indispensable forge in the construction of a new more prosperous and more sustainable society.
