RESUMEN

El presente artículo se deriva de una investigación realizada por la autora en la Galería de Arte ‟Emilio Rivero Merlín” del municipio Güira de Melena, provincia Artemisa, Cuba. Representa una conceptualización sobre el término Galerías de Arte, y una breve reseña histórica sobre el desarrollo y evolución que ha presentado desde su fundación. Una galería debe plantearse como una institución menos formal, en el sentido que debe mostrarse más cercana, debe de verse, no como el palacio, sino como la casa de todos, en donde existen espacios de diversión que van de la mano con la educación y la cultura. Deben transformarse en un panorama familiar, un lugar cálido y acogedor, esa es la galería que será más visitada por el público. Las galerías de arte contemporáneo, gracias a los nuevos lenguajes visuales cargados de movimiento y programas interactivos, tienen allí una buena oportunidad de encantar a los jóvenes y seducirlos para llevarlos al mundo del pensamiento más elaborado y cuestionador.

THE ‟EMILIO RIVERO MERLÍN” ART GALLERY, A HIDDEN TREASURE IN GÜIRA DE MELENA.

ABSTRACT

This article is derived from an investigation carried out by the author at the ‟Emilio Rivero Merlín” Art Gallery of the Güira de Melena municipality. Represents a conceptualization of the term Art Galleries, and a brief historical review on the development and evolution that it has presented since its foundation. A gallery must be considered as a less formal institution, in the sense that it must be seen, not as the palace, but as everyone´s house, where there are spaces for fun that go hand in hand with education and culture. They must be transformed into a family scene, a warm and welcoming place, that is the gallery that will be most visited by the public. Contemporary art galleries, thanks to new visual languages charged with movement and interactive programs, have a good opportunity there to enchant young people and seduce them into the world of the most elaborate and questioning thought.
