RESUMEN
El turismo constituye una de las actividades de redistribución de la riqueza más efectivas. Las tendencias mundiales se encuentran enfocadas en el turismo de naturaleza; para ello, el desarrollo de esta actividad debe ser planificado y sostenible permitiendo la conservación del espacio prístino, el empoderamiento de la cultura rural y el aprovechamiento de la geografía del territorio para la innovación de servicios turísticos.
El presente trabajo se centra en la identificación de la potencialidad turística en el cantón Bolívar provincia de Manabí; para lograr este objetivo, se aplicó un estudio exploratorio, descriptivo y explicativo. Se identificaron características sociales, económicas, culturales y productivas, actores principales, secundarios y se generó el FODA para establecer los elementos que influyen en esta actividad.
Los resultados de esta investigación fueron determinantes en establecer que el Turismo de Naturaleza es una alternativa que complementa las actividades productivas del territorio; siendo factibles el agroturismo, ecoturismo y turismo de aventura.

ABSTRACT

Tourism is one of the most effective wealth redistribution activities. The world trends are focused on nature tourism; for this, the development of this activity must be planned and sustainable allowing the conservation of the pristine space, the empowerment of the rural culture and the use of the geography of the territory for the innovation of tourist services.
The present work focuses on the identification of tourism potential in the Bolívar province of Manabí; To achieve this objective, an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory study was applied. Social, economic, cultural and productive characteristics, main and secondary actors were identified and the SWOT was generated to establish the elements that influence this activity.
The results of this research were decisive in establishing that Nature Tourism is an alternative that complements the productive activities of the territory; being feasible the agrotourism, ecotourism and adventure tourism.
