RESUMEN

Dentro de la población de Estados Unidos 46 millones de habitantes no cuentan con cobertura de servicio médico y se considera que aumente a 57 millones de habitantes para el 2013. La raza hispana dentro de este país es una de las más desfavorecidas, presentan más problemas de salud, bajo nivel de educación, bajo ingreso económico y ser indocumentada. El estado de Texas con una población de 23, 507,783 habitantes, el número de no asegurados es 5, 589,436 habitantes al 2005, encontramos a la raza hispana con 3, 091,019 hab. Sin seguridad médica. Esta población que radica en frontera con México, esta consultando Médicos mexicanos por el idioma y el trato que les brindan estos, a un bajo costo en sus consultas y sus medicinas a comparación de su país de residencia, otros viajan kilómetros para llegar al vecino país y aprovechar estas ventajas ya mencionadas. Algunos países turísticos comienzan ha comercializar entre los Norteamericanos sus ventajas, ofreciéndoles paquetes vacacionales y servicios médicos no disponibles en este país. Consideramos estos servicios como una demanda futura para Tamaulipas, brindando un servicio de TURISMO DE SALUD MEDICO formando CLUSTER PROFESIONAL y satisfacer las demandas del vecino país, Estados Unidos de Norte America.

ABSTRACT

In The United States 46 millions of inhabitants do not have coverage of medical service and it is considered that it should increase to 57 millions by 2013. The Hispanic race in the USA is in disadvantage compared to the rest of the races, because they get sick more frequently, have lower educational level, have low income and are undocumented. The State of Texas with a total population of 23, 507,783 inhabitants, the number of uninsured people were 5,589,436 in 2005. Distributed by race, 3,091,019 are Hispanics. The Hispanic population that lives across the border with Mexico prefers Mexican Doctors for the Latin language and the empathy that these offer to them. Also, the costs of doctor visits and prescriptions are far away from the huge amounts of money they would spend in their country of residence. Those are some of the reasons Hispanics travel miles to come to the neighbor country to take advantage of these bargains. Some tourist countries have began to commercialize to the North Americans their advantages, offering them vacation packages and medical services not available in their home country. It is considered these services to be in demand in the near future in Tamaulipas. Tamaulipas offers excellent opportunities for services in the HEALTH TOURISM area forming PROFESSIONAL CLUSTERS and satisfy the demands of our neighbor country, The United States of North America.
