RESUMEN
Hablar de migración en general hace referencia a la movilización que en muchos casos realizan personas en busca de un mejor futuro fuera del país de origen; sin embargo, cuando se ejecuta por razones académicas también se busca mejorar la calidad de vida, pero esta puede afectarse por la naturalidad misma de salir del entorno familiar, por ende, de manera contextual este trabajo tiene por objeto identificar la migración como fenómeno social y la diversidad cultural en jóvenes universitarios provenientes de zonas rurales. Para esta investigación se realizó un tipo de estudio no experimental con un enfoque cuantitativo, apoyados con el método descriptivo, bibliográfico que permitió comprobar el objetivo que se planteó para el trabajo, utilizando como técnicas la observación y encuesta; e instrumento de cuestionario. Por tal motivo se concluyó que la migración que realizan jóvenes de la carrera de Trabajo Social de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanísticas y Sociales, constituye un 26% en donde la mayoría de esta procede del cantón Rocafuerte, la cual presenta dificultad de adaptación su contexto social es reducido, al considerarse extraños en un territorio que no es de ellos, al que solo están por situaciones académicas.

ABSTRACT
Speaking of migration in general refers to the mobilization in many cases of people looking for a better future outside the country of origin; however, when implemented for academic reasons it is also intended to improve the quality of life, but this can be affected by the very nature of leaving the family environment, therefore, contextually this work aims to identify migration as a social phenomenon and cultural diversity in young university students from rural areas. For this research a type of nonexperimental study was carried out with a quantitative approach, supported by the descriptive, bibliographic method that allowed to verify the objective that was posed for the work, using observation and survey techniques; and questionnaire tool. For this reason, it was concluded that the migration of young people from the social work career of the Faculty of Humanistic and Social Sciences constitutes 26 per cent, with the majority of them coming from the canton of Rocafuerte, which is difficult to adapt, its social context is limited, since it is considered to be foreign in a territory that is not theirs, to which it is only because of academic situations.
