LA LECTURA Y LOS ALUMNOS DE EDUCACIÓN BÁSICA DE CHIAPAS

RESUMEN

En esta investigación se analiza las prácticas de lectura que presentan los alumnos de una escuela primaria del Estado de Chiapas, por lo que analiza el papel de la biblioteca en cuanto al fomento de la lectura, así como la función de los docentes para motivar a los alumnos a leer. Se utilizó el método de la Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP) con el cual se identificó el problema lector que presentan los alumnos; posteriormente, se realizó un taller de intervención para contrarrestar la problemática detectada y finalmente, se motivó a los alumnos a crear sus propios cuentos, con dicho material se editó un libro denominado: Arcoíris, los colores de la imaginación. Este trabajo tiene un alcance descriptivo y se trabajó con una muestra intencional conformado por 20 participantes, se empleó el diario de campo y la entrevista semi-estructurada con dichos instrumentos se identificó que los alumnos presentan diversos problemas tales como: maltrato físico y verbal, problemas de alcoholismo en el hogar, desintegración familiar y baja autoestima. Se obtuvo que el género favorito es el cuento y la leyenda, asimismo el tema de interés son las historias de amor y la familia. Se encontró que los principales obstáculos que dificultan la lectura son, por un lado, la falta de libros, y por otro, la nula motivación hacia la lectura por parte de los maestros, el bibliotecario y la familia.

ABSTRACT

This research analyzes the reading practices presented by the students of a primary school in Chiapas, which is why it analyzes the role of the library in terms of promoting reading, as well as the role of teachers to motivate students. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was used, with which the reading problem presented by the students was identified; Later, an intervention workshop was held to counteract the problems detected and finally, the students were motivated to create their own stories, with this material a book called: Rainbow, the colors of imagination was published. This work has a descriptive scope and it was worked with 20 participants, the field diary was used and the semi-structured interview with said instruments identified that the students present various problems such as: physical and verbal abuse, problems of alcoholism in the home, family disintegration and low self-esteem. It was obtained that the favorite genre is the story and the legend, also the subject of interest is the stories of love and the family. It was found that the main obstacles that make reading difficult are, on the one hand, the lack of books, and on the other, the null motivation towards reading by the teachers, the librarian and the family.
