RESUMEN
El propósito del presente artículo es mostrar cómo funciona la actividad científica y en particular, cómo se hace ciencia en el contexto en que se vive. Sólo basta tener la convicción de la existencia de determinado relacionamiento aparentemente inconexo que otros no vislumbran y una insatisfacción que provoca su distinción, al encontrar relaciones que funcionan, producir un hallazgo, o resolver un problema en términos de conocimiento. En esa lógica de pensamiento, los autores se complacen con presentar al público en general, la postura de un científico colombiano de talla mundial, el profesor Alfonso Díaz-Jiménez, quien ha forjado con disciplina y esmero un saber, con hallazgos publicados en actas arbitradas de corte internacional y en textos universitarios que han recibido los reconocimientos de académicos y científicos destacados en la arena científica internacional, quienes valoran sus correcciones en la resolución de determinados problemas clave, siguiendo la lógica e intuición en el logro de un mayor nivel de abstracción para resolver problemas complejos y de esta manera aportar en la frontera del saber, extendiendo y ampliando el campo del conocimiento en ciencia básica. Llevar lo abstracto a lo concreto en las ciencias puras, le ha permitido al profesor Díaz-Jiménez estar con un pie en la arena científica y con el otro concomitantemente contribuir en el área académica y tecnológica. El enfoque metodológico que se utilizó en esta contribución al conocimiento fue el descriptivo-analítico, acudiéndose además a contribuciones teóricas de expertos en la temática, con el fin de precisar el sentido contextual de palabras desgastadas en el medio, como lo es la “política” (entendida como politiquería), término alejado de la connotación profunda de la categoría política, por lo que sus afirmaciones en algunos apartes del texto al referirse a la “política” sean entendidas sólo mediante esa distinción categórica que en líneas de arriba se ha plasmado, lo cual no va en contravía al rigor proporcional que el profesor Díaz-Jiménez hizo con relación a la distinción entre ciencia y política, ciencia y arte, ciencias básicas y ciencias fácticas o entre ciencias básicas y ciencias políticas. Lo expreso en el texto en general, se convierte en un ágape, por cuanto poco se acostumbra mostrar qué es lo que antecede a los descubrimientos y hallazgos en los distintos campos del saber y que tienen mucho que ver con el proceso creador, es decir, la presencia de la intuición y el aporte de esta última categoría en el oficio del científico o de quien día a día busca y trabaja para hacer ciencia.

BASIC SCIENCE AND ITS CLEAR SEPARATION WITH POLITICS
The purpose of this article is to show how scientific activity works and in particular, how science is done in the context in which it is lived. It is only enough to have the conviction of the existence of a certain apparently disjointed relationship that others do not see and a dissatisfaction that causes their distinction, when finding relationships that work, producing a finding, or solving a problem in terms of knowledge. In this logic of thought, the authors are pleased to present to the general public the position of a world-class Colombian scientist, Professor Alfonso Díaz-Jiménez, who has forged knowledge with discipline and care, with findings published in refereed minutes. international court and in university texts that have received the recognition of prominent academics and scientists in the international scientific arena, who value their corrections in solving certain key problems, following logic and intuition in achieving a higher level of abstraction to solve complex problems and in this way contribute to the frontier of knowledge, expanding and expanding the field of knowledge in basic science. Bringing the abstract to the concrete in the pure sciences has allowed Professor Díaz-Jiménez to be with one foot in the scientific arena and with the other concomitantly contribute in the academic and technological area.
The methodological approach that was used in this contribution to knowledge was the descriptive-analytical one, also resorting to theoretical contributions from experts in the subject, in order to specify the contextual meaning of words worn in the middle, such as "politics" (understood as politicking), a term far from the deep connotation of the political category, so that his statements in some sections of the text when referring to "politics" are understood only through that categorical distinction that has been expressed in the lines above, which does not go against the proportional rigor that Professor Díaz-Jiménez made in relation to the distinction between science and politics, science and art, basic science and factual science, or between basic science and political science. I express it in the text in general, it becomes an agape, because little is used to show what precedes discoveries and findings in the different fields of knowledge and that they have a lot to do with the creative process, that is, the presence of intuition and the contribution of this last category in the profession of the scientist or of those who search and work every day to do science.
