RESUMEN
Una de las tendencias actuales de las universidades cubanas lo constituye la dirección estratégica en su compromiso con el proyecto social que impulsan y la construcción de un socialismo próspero y sostenible. Un elemento clave para este propósito es el Cuadro de Mando Integral como herramienta de control de gestión universitaria teniendo en cuenta que permite controlar y medir indicadores financieros y no financieros y contribuir a la toma de decisiones de las organizaciones. El objetivo del presente artículo es proponer un procedimiento para el diseño del Cuadro de Mando Integral en universidades cubanas soportado en el Proyecto Estratégico del Ministerio de Educación Superior 2022-2026. La aplicación en la Universidad de Holguín permitió obtener como resultado el sistema de indicadores de gestión y el Cuadro de Mando Integral del centro, lo que permite concluir que es un instrumento metodológico válido para el diseño del Cuadro de Mando Integral en universidades cubanas.

PROCEDURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BALANCED SCORECARD IN CUBAN UNIVERSITIES
ABSTRACT
One of the current trends of Cuban universities is the strategic direction in their commitment to the social project they promote and the construction of a prosperous and sustainable socialism. A key element for this purpose is the Balanced Scorecard as a university management control tool, considering that it allows controlling and measuring financial and non-financial indicators and contributing to decision-making in organizations. The objective of this article is to propose a procedure for the design of the Balanced Scorecard in Cuban universities supported in the Strategic Project of the Ministry of Higher Education 2022-2026. The application at the University of Holguín allowed obtaining as a result the system of management indicators and the Balanced Scorecard of the center, which allows concluding that it is a valid methodological instrument for the design of the Balanced Scorecard in Cuban universities.
