LOS ELEMENTOS DE IDENTIDAD EN LAS NARRACIONES DE NIÑOS DE ESCUELA PRIMARIA

RESUMEN

Introducción: El concepto de identidad es complejo, pues es la base sobre la que se construye la historia personal, en ésta, se encuentran presentes características psicosociales y culturales, desde esta perspectiva, identificar los elementos presentes en el discurso de los niños arroja luz a la forma en la que se autodeterminan y la forma establecen relaciones con los otros. Objetivo: Identificar en la narración de la historia de vida de cuatro niños los elementos que construyen su identidad. Metodología: Investigación narrativa, muestreo 3 niñas y un niño de entre 9 y 10 años, estudiantes de quinto grado de primaria en el municipio de San Mateo Atenco, la recolección de datos se realizado a través de video narrativo, para analizar la historia de vida. Discusión: Partiendo de los distintos elementos derivados del concepto de identidad, podemos corroborar que, algunos de los que forman parte de la identidad de los niños son: auto reconocimiento, sentimientos, relaciones sociales y familiares, destacando sobre todo el papel que juega el contexto en la conformación de su identidad y que esta depende en gran medida de la percepción que el niño tiene de este. Conclusión: El análisis de la información nos permite identificar que los niños, participantes en esta investigación, son conscientes que su historia personal está conformada por los acontecimientos cotidianos en su vida, sin embargo, el ser conscientes de esto, no significa que los ubiquen como elementos clave de la conformación de su identidad.

THE ELEMENTS OF IN THE NARRATIVES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The concept of identity is complex since it is the basis on which personal history is built. In it, psychosocial and cultural characteristics are present. From this perspective, identifying the elements present in children's discourse sheds light on the way in which they are self-determined and the form in which they establish relationships with others. Objective: To identify, in the narrative of the life story of four children, the elements that build their identity. Methodology: Narrative research, sampling 3 girls and a boy, between 9 and 10 years of age, fifth-grade primary school students in the municipality of San Mateo Atenco.  The data collection was carried out through narrative video, to analyse their life history. Discussion: Based on the different elements derived from the concept of identity, we can corroborate that some of the factors that are part of children's identity are: self-recognition, feelings, social and family relations - emphasising above all the role that the context plays in shaping their identity and that it depends to a large extent on the child's perception of it. Conclusion: The analysis of information allows us to identify that the children, participants in this research, are aware that their personal history is made up of everyday events in their lives, however, being aware of this does not mean that they place them as key elements in the formation of their identity.
