RESUMEN
La necesidad actual de las empresas de incrementar cada vez más su competitividad, se encuentra estrechamente mediada por la eficiencia y eficacia de la administración de los diferentes procesos que constituyen la misma. Al tener que adaptarse a un entorno económico altamente cambiante, se hace evidente la tendencia de poner énfasis en la administración logística como mecanismo de planificación, encaminado a reducir la incertidumbre en un futuro desconocido, estableciendo una sincronización entre mercados, canales de distribución, actividades operativas y proveedores. Las organizaciones cubanas y en particular las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES), trabajan en función de lograr una integración logística, así como un análisis exhaustivo y un diseño eficiente del propio sistema logístico que responda a las exigencias y necesidades de las empresas y las instituciones en el contexto actual. Por tanto, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar el sistema logístico de la Universidad de Holguín (UHo), así como elaborar el diagnóstico de las actividades claves de la logística con enfoque de proceso. Para el desarrollo de este proyecto se utilizaron como métodos: la entrevista, la revisión documental y la observación directa. Se identificaron 11 deficiencias para las cuales se proponen un grupo de medidas dirigidas a su solución.

ABSTRACT
The current need of companies to increase their competitiveness is closely related to the efficiency and effectiveness of the management of the different processes that make up the company. Having to adapt to a highly changing economic environment, the tendency to emphasize logistics management as a planning mechanism is evident, aimed at reducing uncertainty in an unknown future, establishing a synchronization between markets, distribution channels, operational activities and suppliers. Cuban organizations, particularly Higher Education Institutions (HEI), are working to achieve logistic integration, as well as an exhaustive analysis and an efficient design of their own logistic system that responds to the demands and needs of enterprises and institutions in the current context. Therefore, the present work aims to characterize the logistics system of the University of Holguin (UHo), as well as to elaborate the diagnosis of the key activities of logistics with a process approach. For the development of this project, the following methods were used: interview, documentary review and direct observation. Eleven deficiencies were identified for which a group of measures aimed at their solution are proposed.
