RESUMEN
El actual desarrollo de las tecnologías incide de manera directa en la gestión de la información y la formación científica de la educación superior. Es de vital importancia la labor de la universidad en la formación del estudiantado, en aras de responder a las demandas de la sociedad de la informatización y el conocimiento. La investigación aborda el tema de la gestión de la información en la formación científica del estudiante universitario del Centro Universitario Municipal Fomento para el logro de un profesional competente. Se realiza un análisis documental sobre la Gestión de la Información, la formación científica del docente, la virtualización de la docencia en tiempos de COVID-19 y la utilización de las herramientas para la Gestión de la Información y Conocimiento, donde se refleja y analizan el uso de las mismas: los Centros de Recursos para el Aprendizaje e Investigación (CRAI), la red intranet de la universidad, disponibilidad de bases de datos, los repositorios de archivos históricos, bibliotecas virtuales, tecnologías web, creación de grupo de chat (WhatsApp) y emisión de video-conferencias. Los métodos empleados son: el histórico-lógico, lógico-deductivo, sistémico y el análisis documental. La gestión de la información unida al soporte tecnológico favorece y potencia la formación científica del universitario, quienes deben autogestionar la misma y obtener los conocimientos. La universalización con la introducción de nuevas herramientas e innovaciones web demanda una permanente y actualizada preparación de la comunidad universitaria para el logro de un profesional competente.

ABSTRACT
The current development of technologies has a direct impact on information management and scientific training in higher education. The work of the university in the training of students is of vital importance, in order to respond to the demands of the computerization and knowledge society. The research addresses the issue of information management in the scientific training of the university student of the Municipal University Center Fomento for the achievement of a competent professional. A documentary analysis is carried out on Information Management, the scientific training of the teacher, the virtualization of teaching in times of COVID-19 and the use of the tools for Information and Knowledge Management, where the use of them: the Learning and Research Resource Centers (CRAI), the university's intranet, availability of databases, repositories of historical archives, virtual libraries, web technologies, creation of chat groups (WhatsApp) and broadcasting of video-conferences. The methods used are: historical-logical, logical-deductive, systemic and documentary analysis. The management of the information together with the technological support favors and enhances the scientific training of the university, who must self-manage it and obtain the knowledge. The universalization with the introduction of new tools and web innovations demands a permanent and updated preparation of the university community for the achievement of a competent professional.
