RESUMEN
La música metal ha ido a lo largo de su existencia, ganando adeptos que en lo general son grandes devotos de lo que implica el escuchar este tipo de música. Desde las vestimentas exóticas en color negro, el cabello largo o con algún corte o peinado extravagante, hasta atavíos de calaveras, cruces, símbolos de muerte u otra parafernalia esotéricos, el metalero se ha distinguido en la sociedad por su evidente discrepancia ideológica que deja ver en su composición visual y su música agresiva. Sin embargo, esto no es lo único que el metalero es y representa en sociedad. Los grupos de pertenencia, tribus urbanas y bandas metaleras han dejado testimonio de ser colectivos fanáticos, de mucha cohesión y de principios de bienestar común, derivado no solo de sus afinidades compartidas que degustan en conjunto, sino también ha sido producto de una serie de características muy particulares de aquellos quienes gustan del metal, como varios estudios han demostrado.

ABSTRACT
Metal music has been growing throughout its existence, gaining followers who are generally great devotees of what it means to listen to this type of music. From exotic black outfits, long hair or with an extravagant cut or hairstyle, to the attire of crosses, symbols of death or other esoteric paraphernalia, the metalhead has distinguished himself in society for his evident ideological discrepancy that reveals in its visual composition and aggressive music. However, this is not the only thing that the metalhead is and represents in society. Membership groups, urban tribes and metal gangs have left testimony of being fanatical collectives, of great cohesion and of principles of common well-being, derived not only from their shared affinities that they enjoy together, but it has also been the product of a series of very particular features of those who like metal, as several studies have shown
