LA EDUCACIÓN MUSICAL EN LA ESCUELA PÚBLICA CUBANA DE LA PRIMERA MITAD DEL SIGLO XX

RESUMEN

El artículo aporta información sobre las particularidades de la Educación Musical en la escuela pública de la primera mitad del siglo XX, inexistente en la bibliografía hasta el momento, con lo que se tributa a la actualización de la historia de la educación y la pedagogía en Cuba, además contribuye al rescate de las raíces pedagógicas. Se aporta información relacionada con los principales hitos y personalidades de la época, que se convierte en recurso para los docentes en la formación inicial de los educadores artísticos actuales al favorecer la comprensión de su legado a la teoría y la práctica pedagógica contemporánea. El uso de métodos de los niveles teórico y empírico permitió revelar los fundamentos que sustentaron el proceso pedagógico y delimitar la periodización de la etapa estudiada.

MUSICAL EDUCATION IN THE CUBAN PUBLIC SCHOOL OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

ABSTRACT

The article provides information on the particularities of Music Education in public schools in the first half of the 20th century, nonexistent in the bibliography so far, which is intended to update the history of education and pedagogy in Cuba, in addition contributes to the rescue of pedagogical roots. Information related to the main milestones and personalities of the time is provided, which becomes a resource for teachers in the initial training of current artistic educators by favoring the understanding of their legacy to contemporary pedagogical theory and practice. The use of methods of the theoretical and empirical levels allowed to reveal the foundations that supported the pedagogical process and to delimit the periodization of the studied stage
