RESUMEN
En la presente investigación se abordan aspectos relacionados con la formación cívica desde el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la asignatura historia. Se exponen los fundamentos teóricos del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la asignatura historia, el cual se argumenta desde un enfoque dialéctico-materialista. Ofrecer explicaciones desde la Didáctica de la Historia, la psicología y la pedagogía sobre fundamentos o sustentos teóricos que permitan contribuir en la formación cívica de los estudiantes en la Educación Superior es el objetivo de la investigación. También se demuestra la pertinencia de impartir los contenidos históricos con el fin de incidir en la formación cívica de los estudiantes como futuros profesionales y formadores de generaciones.

SUMMARY
In this research, aspects related to civic training are addressed from the teaching-learning process of the history subject. The theoretical foundations of the teaching-learning process of the history subject are exposed, which is argued from a dialectical-materialist approach. Offering explanations from the Didactics of History, psychology and pedagogy on foundations or theoretical supports that allow to contribute in the civic training of students in Higher Education is the objective of the research. The relevance of imparting historical content in order to influence the civic training of students as futer professionals and trainers of generations is aslo demonstrated.
