EL APRENDIZAJE COOPERATIVO, UNA VÍA PARA DESARROLLAR LA EXPRESION ORAL EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DEL PRIMER AÑO DE LA CARRERA DE LENGUAS EXTRANJERAS.

Resumen

En el proceso de formación de profesores de idiomas es necesario tener en cuenta las habilidades comunicativas a desarrollar en ellos para que puedan adquirir una competencia comunicativa que les permita desempeñarse eficientemente en el idioma en la escuela. Ello conlleva a la búsqueda de alternativas que logren resolver una de las preocupaciones de los docentes relacionada con la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del inglés, específicamente en la formación de profesores para el desarrollo de esas habilidades (escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir). La presente investigación tiene su fundamento en la importancia que tiene el desarrollo de habilidades orales: escuchar y hablar, como base para potenciar el resto de las habilidades desde el primer año de la carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras. Teniendo en cuenta esta situación se proponen un conjunto de actividades encaminadas a desarrollar habilidades comunicativas en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés en la carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras de la universidad de Guantánamo. La utilización de diferentes métodos y técnicas investigativas permitieron enfrentar el problema científico detectado y en la misma medida analizar los resultados obtenidos. La puesta en práctica de las actividades ha permitido lograr que los estudiantes adquieran un mayor nivel de conocimiento e independencia en cuanto al desarrollo de cada una de las habilidades y a su vez la integración de estas en función de la competencia comunicativa, en correspondencia con los objetivos del año. Su correcta utilización constituye una herramienta para la solución de la problemática que se plantea.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING, A WAY TO DEVELOP ORAL EXPRESSION IN THE STUDENTS OF 1ST YEAR OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES.

Abstract

In the process of training language teachers, it is necessary to take into account the communicative skills to be developed in them so that they can acquire a communicative competence that allows them to perform efficiently in the language at school. This leads to the search for alternatives that manage to solve one of the concerns of teachers related to teaching and learning of the English language, specifically in the training of teachers for the development of these skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). This research is based on the importance of the development of oral skills: listening and speaking, as a basis for enhancing the rest of the skills from the first year of the Foreign Languages major. Taking this situation into account, a set of activities are proposed aimed at developing communication skills in the teaching-learning process of English in the Foreign Languages ​​degree at the University of Guantánamo. The use of different investigative methods and techniques allowed to face the scientific problem detected and to the same extent analyzed the results obtained. The implementation of the activities has allowed students to acquire a higher level of knowledge and independence in terms of the development of each of the skills and to integrate these skills to achieve a communicative competence, in correspondence with the goals of the year. Its correct use constitutes a tool for solving the problem that arises.
