INTERVENCIÓN EDUCATIVA PARA ELEVAR LOS CONOCIMIENTOS SOBRE LAS DROGAS

RESUMEN

En la mitigación de los efectos negativos del consumo de alcohol, tabaco y otras drogas, que representan un serio problema de salud pública, la educación para la salud juega un papel preponderante donde la capacitación a las personas, para hacer elecciones acertadas en sus estilos de vida, constituye una estrategia fundamental. El objetivo del trabajo fue elevar los conocimientos sobre el tema de las drogas a los recursos humanos del Programa de Salas de Televisión del Plan Turquino en el municipio Guisa. Se aplicó una investigación evaluativa con un diseño pre-experimental, y la aplicación de pruebas de entrada y salida (antes y después de la intervención). La población y muestra se integró por 47 trabajadores. Los temas se escogieron a partir de un diagnóstico realizado por el Grupo de Prevención Municipal, relacionadas con las drogas, y las demandas realizadas por la Dirección del Programa de Salas de Televisión. Se elaboró un cuestionario para evaluar los indicadores de cambio a través de las pruebas de entrada y salida. Los datos fueron procesados en el programa estadístico Statistica versión 8.0.8 Se aplicaron las pruebas no paramétricas de Wilcoxon y Chi-cuadrado.  Los resultados de la intervención educativa para elevar conocimientos sobre la prevención de las drogas, mostraron diferencias significativas (p≤0.05) entre las pruebas de entrada y salida en las diferentes variables evaluadas y permitieron elevar los conocimientos sobre el tema de las drogas a los recursos humanos del Programa de Salas de Televisión del Plan Turquino en el municipio Guisa.

EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION TO RAISE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DRUGS

ABSTRACT

In the mitigation of the negative effects of the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, which represent a serious public health problem, health education plays a preponderant role, where the training of people to make correct choices in their styles life, constitutes a fundamental strategy. The objective of work was to raise the knowledge on the subject of drugs to the human resources of the Television Room Program of the Turquino Plan in the Guisa municipality. An evaluative investigation was applied with a pre-experimental design, and the application of entry and exit tests (before and after the intervention). The population and sample was made up of 47 workers. The topics were chosen from a diagnosis made by the Municipal Prevention Group, related to drugs, and the demands made by the Management the Television Room Program. A questionnaire was developed to evaluate the indicators of change through the entry and exit tests. The data were processed in the statistical program Statistica version 8.0.8. The non-parametric Wilcoxon and Chi-square tests were applied.  The results of the educational intervention to increase knowledge about drug prevention, showed significant differences (p≤0,05) between the entry and exit tests in the different variables evaluated and allowed raising the knowledge on the subject of drugs to the human resources of the Television Room Program of the Turquino Plan in the Guisa municipality.
