RESUMEN

Reducir los costos teniendo en cuenta la carga económica que representa brindar los servicios que hoy se ofrecen y asimilar las tecnologías, medicamentos de nueva creación que surgen casi a diario y que son cada vez más efectivos, pero también cada vez más caros, es una labor esencial del Ministerio de Salud Pública a la que se le viene prestando creciente atención. La medición de los costos de los servicios médicos y su utilización como instrumento en la administración de salud es una condición indispensable de estos propósitos. Obliga a que el resto de los subsistemas trabajen bien, indica si es aconsejable iniciar o continuar con una actividad desde el punto de vista económico, permite ahorrar de manera ágil y científica conduciendo al aprovechamiento óptimo de los recursos y contribuye a mejorar la eficiencia médica y social, sin afectar indicadores de salud ni la calidad de la atención médica. El Procedimiento para el cálculo de los costos de los servicios hospitalarios, tiene como objetivo brindar a la entidad hospitalaria una herramienta para la administración de cuánto se invierte en el tratamiento de pacientes con diferentes patologías en una institución de salud. La misma se sustenta por la no existencia de un procedimiento dando lugar a una herramienta metodológica más eficiente para el control, seguimiento y uso de los recursos humanos, materiales y financieros que aseguran la prestación de servicios en la salud.

PROCEDURE FOR CALCULATING THE COST OF HOSPITAL SERVICES

ABSTRACT

Reduce costs taking into account the economic burden of providing the services offered today and assimilate technologies, newly created medicines that arise almost daily and are increasingly effective, but also increasingly expensive, is a task essential of the Ministry of Public Health that is being given increasing attention. The measurement of the costs of medical services and their use as an instrument in health administration is an indispensable condition of these purposes. It forces the rest of the subsystems to work well, indicates whether it is advisable to start or continue with an activity from the economic point of view, allows to save in an agile and scientific way leading to the optimal use of resources and contributes to improve medical efficiency and social, without affecting health indicators or the quality of medical care. The Procedure for calculating the costs of hospital services, aims to provide the hospital entity with a tool for the administration of how much is invested in the treatment of patients with different pathologies in a health institution. It is supported by the non-existence of a procedure giving rise to a more efficient methodological tool for the control, monitoring and use of human, material and financial resources that ensure the provision of health services.
