LA DIMENSIÓN AMBIENTAL DEL DESARROLLO LOCAL DESDE EL PARADIGMA DE LA SOSTENIBILIDAD

Resumen

Ante las exigencias actuales para el desarrollo global, surgen nuevas alternativas de desarrollo a escala local, que impulsan las economías de las naciones menos favorecidas. El desarrollo local ha devenido como una política de gobierno que proporciona el desarrollo endógeno de los distintos territorios, para desde la organización estratégica de la economía, aprovechar las ventajas que ofrecen los recursos disponibles en función de lograr un mayor crecimiento económico y transitar, de esta manera, hacia la mayor productividad y calidad de las ofertas en el mercado internacional; logrando una mayor contribución al desarrollo social de los moradores. Concebir este desarrollo desde la dimensión ambiental es una prioridad, dada las urgencias ambientales que se presentan en el siglo XXI y que repercuten sus efectos en el territorio como expresión de las problemáticas ambientales locales. Los métodos que se han empleado se representan por el método teórico análisis y crítica de fuentes, el cual ha permitido indagar en el estado del arte del tema investigado, así como la triangulación de datos, fuentes y teorías, método empírico que ha permitido arribar a generalizaciones teóricas. Por ello, en el presente trabajo se argumentan las principales relaciones sustentadas desde la dimensión ambiental del desarrollo local, en tanto constituye premisa básica para el desarrollo sostenible y la articulación política del territorio.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL DIMENSION OF LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FROM THE SUSTAINABILITY PARADIGM

Abstract

Before the current demands for the global development, new development alternatives arise to local scale that you/they impel the economies of the less favored nations. The local development has become as government's politics that provides the endogenous development of the different territories, it stops from the strategic organization of the economy, to take advantage of the advantages that offer the available resources in function of to achieve a bigger economic growth and to traffic, this way, toward the biggest productivity and quality of the offers in the international market; achieving this way, a bigger contribution to the social development of the residents. To conceive this development from the environmental dimension is a priority, given the environmental urgencies that are presented in the XXI century and that they irradiate their effects to the territory like expression of the local environmental problems. The methods that have been used are represented by the method theoretical analysis and critic of sources, which has allowed to investigate in the state of the art of the investigated topic, as well as the triangulation of data, sources and theories, empiric method that has allowed to arrive to theoretical generalizations. For it, presently work one argues the main relationships sustained from the environmental dimension of the local development, as long as it constitutes basic premise for the sustainable development and the political articulation of the territory.
