GESTIÓN MUNICIPAL. LA GESTIÓN DE DESECHOS SÓLIDOS POR PARTE DEL CABILDO MUNICIPAL EN EL SECTOR PADRE GRANERO DEL MUNICIPIO SAN FELIPE DE PUERTO PLATA DE LA REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

RESUMEN

El tema abordado en esta investigación se titula: Gestión Municipal. La gestión de Desechos Sólidos por parte del Cabildo Municipal en el Sector Padre Granero del Municipio San Felipe de Puerto Plata de la República Dominicana. Los objetivos son: Analizar la gestión de desechos sólidos por parte del cabildo municipal en el sector Padre Granero. Identificar las acciones que realiza la alcaldía en cuanto a la gestión y manejo de los desechos sólidos, investigar con qué frecuencia se realiza la recogida de los desechos sólidos, investigar si cuenta el cabildo con los equipos adecuados para la recogida de los desechos, analizar si  el cabildo posee una calendarización por sector para la  recogida de desechos e identificar el nivel de satisfacción que tienen los moradores del sector Padre Granero con la gestión de recogida de desechos de la alcaldía municipal. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, con un enfoque cuantitativo, puesto que se empleó un instrumento de recolección de información o cuestionario para conseguir las informaciones que posteriormente se analizaron.  Se trabajó con una muestra de 310 familias de universo de 1600 y se utilizó la fórmula de Fisher y Navarro. Recordando que la población según Sampieri (2005, p.303) “es el conjunto de todos los casos que interesan en una investigación y que concuerdan con una serie de especificaciones, dentro del estudio. Como se aprecia, la población es la totalidad del fenómeno a estudiar”. La población objeto de estudio está localizada en el sector Padre Granero de San Felipe, Puerto Plata en República Dominicana. El estudio concluye que la gestión de los desechos sólidos en el sector Padre Granero no cuenta con una política institucional de recogidas de basura, pues en reiteradas ocasiones han manifestado que la recogida de basura se hace insostenible para el cabildo.

MUNICIPAL MANAGEMENT. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL IN THE PADRE GRANERO SECTOR OF THE SAN FELIPE DE PUERTO PLATA MUNICIPALITY OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

ABSTRACT

The topic addressed in this research is titled: Municipal Management. Solid Waste management by the Municipal Council in the Padre Granero Sector of the San Felipe de Puerto Plata Municipality of the Dominican Republic. The objectives are: Analyze the solid waste management by the municipal council in the Padre Granero sector. Identify the actions carried out by the mayor's office regarding the management and handling of solid waste, investigate how often the solid waste collection is carried out, investigate if the council has the appropriate equipment for the collection of waste, analyze if the council has a calendar by sector for the collection of waste and to identify the level of satisfaction that residents of the Padre Granero sector have with the municipal mayor's waste collection management. The research is descriptive, with a quantitative approach, since an information collection instrument or questionnaire was used to obtain the information that was subsequently analyzed. We worked with a sample of 310 families from the 1600 universe and the Fisher and Navarro formula was used. Remembering that the population according to Sampieri (2005, p.303) “is the set of all the cases that are of interest in an investigation and that agree with a series of specifications, within the study. As can be seen, the population is the totality of the phenomenon to be studied ”. The population under study is located in the Padre Granero sector of San Felipe, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. The study concludes that solid waste management in the Padre Granero sector does not have an institutional garbage collection policy, as they have repeatedly stated that garbage collection is unsustainable for the council.
