EL NUEVO PARADIGMA DEL MANEJO DE LA INFORMACIÓN Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA FORMACIÓN DE PROFESIONALES EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA

RESUMEN

La administración y manejo de la información de manera técnica y profesional, se constituye en la actualidad, en una de las mayores demandas de las organizaciones a nivel mundial. De allí, la necesidad de contar con profesionales capacitados en el ejercicio de esta profesión.  Con este antecedente, la investigación tiene como objetivo relacionar el nuevo paradigma del manejo de la información con la formación de profesionales en Bibliotecología de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí durante el período 2015 - 2020. En primera instancia se parte de definiciones referentes a las variables del tema de investigado, aplicando una metodología con un enfoque cualitativo, de corte descriptiva, apoyada en los métodos bibliográfico, analítico, reflexivo con la técnica de revisión bibliográfica. Para obtención de los datos se emplea una encuesta, teniendo como instrumento el cuestionario, aplicada a 98 personas que constituyen la población de profesionales graduados en la carrera de Bibliotecología en el período 2015 - 2020. El análisis de los datos se realiza mediante la representación de cuadros y gráficos estadísticos. Se describen conclusiones destacando el nuevo paradigma del manejo de la información y su relación con la formación de profesionales en bibliotecología. Los resultados obtenidos apuntan a la necesidad de fortalecer los conocimientos de formación como profesionales en información a través de estrategias metodológicas y de una permanente actualización, que le permitan afrontar exitosamente los nuevos requerimientos del mercado laboral y profesional.

THE NEW PARADIGM OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND ITS RELATION TO THE TRAINING OF PROFESSIONALS IN LIBRARY

ABSTRACT

The administration and management of information in a technical and professional manner, is currently one of the greatest demands of organizations worldwide. Hence, the need for professionals trained in the exercise of this profession. With this background, the research aims to relate the new paradigm of information management with the training of professionals in Library Science at the Technical University of Manabí during the period 2015-2020. In the first instance, we start from definitions referring to the variables of the subject under investigation, applying a methodology with a qualitative, descriptive approach, supported by bibliographic, analytical, and reflective methods with bibliographic review techniques. To obtain the data, a survey is used, using the questionnaire as an instrument, applied to 98 people who constitute the population of professionals graduated from the Librarianship in the 2015-2020 period. The analysis of the data is carried out by means of the representation of tables and statistical graphs. Conclusions are described highlighting the new paradigm of information management and its relationship with the training of professionals in library science. The results obtained point to the need to strengthen the knowledge of training as information professionals through methodological strategies and a permanent update, which allows to successfully facing the new requirements of the labor and professional market.
