IMPLANTACIÓN E IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE LA FORMACIÓN PROFESIONAL DUAL EN ECUADOR: OFERTA ACADÉMICA DESARROLLO INFANTIL INTEGRAL 2013

RESUMEN

La formación profesional dual se ha convertido en los últimos años en una estrategia internacional que busca mejorar los sistemas de aprendizaje y las prácticas profesionales en los niveles de formación técnico y tecnológico. El presente artículo da a conocer la primera fase análisis de los elementos y asociaciones que intervienen en la implantación del sistema dual en el contexto ecuatoriano. Desde ahí se podrá determinar las características, motivaciones y estrategias que impulsan la creación de la carrera de Tecnología en Desarrollo Infantil Integral, (TDII), objeto de estudio.  El enfoque es de tipo cualitativo y es parte de una investigación doctoral que tiene por finalidad examinar la implantación del sistema dual y profundizar el análisis en la implementación del modelo de formación profesional dual de la carrera TDII a partir del año 2013, ofertado por los institutos públicos de educación superior técnico y tecnológico del Ecuador. Los métodos investigativos utilizados son: la entrevista semiestructurada y grupos focales. Los resultados indican un cambio paradigmático dentro de la estructura del sistema de educación superior; sin embargo, la implantación del sistema dual per se, aún es insuficiente para lograr el involucramiento tripartito del Estado, academia y el sector productivo. Similar escenario presenta la implementación del modelo de enseñanza dual la carrera TDII. Las principales debilidades están relacionadas con la planificación, la comunicación y el seguimiento académico teórico y práctico, entre el estudiante, instituto formador, entidad formadora y el colectivo social. Esto a pesar de que han aceptado y reconocido positivamente la carrera dual.

IMPLANTATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DUAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN ECUADOR: 2013 INTEGRAL CHILD DEVELOPMENT ACADEMIC OFFER

ABSTRACT

In recent years, dual vocational training has become an international strategy aimed at improving learning systems and professional practices at the technical and technological training levels. This article presents the first phase of analysis on the elements and associations involved in the implementation of the dual system in the Ecuadorian context. From there, it will be possible to determine the characteristics, motivations and strategies that drive the creation of the Technological career in Integral Child Development, (TDII, for its acronym in Spanish), the object of this study.  The approach is qualitative and it is part of a Doctoral Research aimed at analyzing the implantation and implementation of the dual vocational training model of the TDII career offered by public institutes of higher technical and technological education in Ecuador as of 2013. The research methods used are: semi-structured interviews and focus groups. The results indicate a paradigmatic change within the structure of the higher education system. However, the implementation of the dual system alone is still insufficient to achieve the tripartite involvement of the State, academia and the productive sector. A similar scenario is presented by the implementation of the dual education model in the TDII career. The main weaknesses are related to planning, communication and theoretical and practical academic follow-up between the student, the training institute, the training entity, and the social collective. This, despite the fact that they have accepted and positively recognized the dual career.
