RELEVANCIA Y PRESENCIA DE LOS OBJETIVOS DE DESARROLLO SOTENIBLE EN LOS PLANES CURRICULARES DEL GRADO DE ENFERMERÍA EN ESPAÑA

RESUMEN

Las experiencias y aprendizaje de la comunidad universitaria son esenciales para aspirar al cambio que la Agenda 2030 pretende, y transitar hacia la cultura del desarrollo sostenible. Entre los currículos universitarios, explorar la presencia de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) en la formación de los futuros profesionales sanitarios es fundamental. Un hilo transversal de todos los ODS es la salud. Su importancia es explícita en el ODS 3 “Salud y bienestar”, pero es una cuestión consustancial en todo el proyecto. La Enfermería, por su impacto en la población, tiene mucho potencial para contribuir a la consecución de los ODS. En el mundo hay 28 millones de enfermeras que, mediante sus cuidados, garantizan derechos, educan a la ciudadanía y empoderan a las personas. Se presenta un estudio de naturaleza descriptiva que analiza la presencia de los ODS en los planes de estudios del Grado en Enfermería de España. Se revisaron las guías docentes de los planes de estudio de 112 Facultades de Enfermería. Ninguna asignatura incluye en su denominación a los ODS y sólo 15 Facultades incluyen en sus contenidos curriculares referencias a los ODS. Si bien del análisis de las denominaciones y contenidos de las guías docentes sólo podemos obtener información indirecta sobre la presencia y relevancia de los ODS en el Grado de Enfermería en España; tras su lectura exhaustiva es posible argumentar ciertos hallazgos que evidencian que existen brechas importantes entre la oferta académica y los reclamos de la Agenda 2030.

RELEVANCE AND PRESENCE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS IN NURSING DEGREE CURRICULA IN SPAIN

ABSTRACT

The university community's experiences, and learning are essential to achieving the change that the 2030 Agenda aims to bring about, and to move towards a culture of sustainable development. Among university curricula, exploring the presence of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education of future health professionals is critical. A cross-cutting thread of all the SDGs is health. Its importance is explicit in SDG 3 "Health and well-being", but it is a matter of inherent importance throughout the project. Nursing, because of its impact on populations, has great potential to contribute to achieving the SDGs. There are 28 million nurses worldwide who, through care, guarantee rights, educate citizens and empower people. A descriptive study is conducted to analyze the presence of the SDGs in the curricula of the bachelor’s degree in Nursing in Spain. The curricula of 112 Nursing Schools were reviewed. No subject includes the SDGs in its name and just 15 Faculties include references to the SDGs in their curricular content. Although only indirect information on the presence and relevance of the SDGs in the Nursing Degree in Spain can be obtained from the analysis of the names and contents of the teaching guides, upon an exhaustive reading it is possible to argue certain findings that show that there are significant gaps between the academic offer and the claims of the 2030 Agenda.
