EL TRÁNSITO DEL NEOLIBERALISMO EN MÉXICO ¿LLEGÓ SU FIN?

RESUMEN

En la actualidad el neoliberalismo tiene su mayor auge a la vez que se cuestiona su permanencia. La globalización es la expresión de la expansión de su ideología para la dominación capitalista. Se distingue por la integración de un mercado mundial. La movilidad de las inversiones motivada por la disminución de costos ha sido su distintivo. Las naciones mantienen una competencia feroz por atraerlas. México desde que se integra a la globalización, padeció sus males sociales. Con la adopción del neoliberalismo en las décadas de los ochenta y noventa del siglo pasado, las condiciones sociales cambiaron drásticamente, incrementando la brecha entre ricos y pobres, con incremento de riqueza en el sector más alto de la escala social y un aumento en la cantidad de pobres y de clase media hacia la pobreza. Su población pidió a gritos un cambio. La reciente llegada de un gobierno de izquierda fue la manifestación de esas exigencias. Sin embargo, el cambio es difícil de lograr, si consideramos la dependencia a Estados Unidos que lo mantiene en subordinación. Bajo ese contexto, es difícil el margen de maniobra. El nuevo orden mundial se encamina a una geopolítica multipolar compartida principalmente con China y Rusia, entre otros. Ello otorga a México la posibilidad de mirar hacia otras latitudes. En el presente texto se hace una revisión del contexto, partiendo de lo general a lo local, para comprender el transitar del país en diferentes estadios de la economía para tratar de entender el cambio en las relaciones políticas de México.  Con ello estaremos en condiciones de vislumbrar la continuidad del modelo neoliberal mexicano o, como afirma el actual Presidente de la República, sí habrá un cambio substancial.

THE TRANSIT OF NEOLIBERALISM IN MEXICO, DID THE END COME?

ABSTRACT

At present, neoliberalism is at its peak while its permanence is questioned. Globalization is the expression of the expansion of its ideology for capitalist domination. It is distinguished by the integration of a world market. The mobility of investments motivated by lower costs has been its hallmark. Nations are in fierce competition to attract them. Mexico, since it joined globalization, suffered its social ills. With the adoption of neoliberalism in the eighties and nineties of the last century, social conditions changed dramatically, increasing the gap between rich and poor, with an increase in wealth in the highest sector of the social ladder and an increase in the amount from poor and middle class towards poverty. Its population cried out for a change. The recent arrival of a left-wing government was the manifestation of these demands. However, change is difficult to achieve, if we consider the dependence on the United States that keeps it in subordination. In this context, the room for maneuver is difficult. The new world order is heading towards multipolar geopolitics shared mainly with China and Russia, among others. This gives Mexico the possibility of looking to other latitudes. In this text a review of the context is made, starting from the general to the local, to understand the transit of the country in different stages of the economy to try to understand the change in the political relations of Mexico. With this we will be in a position to glimpse the continuity of the Mexican neoliberal model or, as the current President of the Republic affirms, there will be a substantial change.
