RESUMEN

Ante la situación generada por la pandemia del COVID19, el Ministerio de Educación y Ciencias de la república del Paraguay, puso a disposición de la comunidad educativa plataformas virtuales a fin de cumplir con el desarrollo de las actividades académicas a nivel país. Esta investigación adoptó un enfoque cualitativo, de alcance descriptivo, surgió en el marco del desarrollo del trabajo final de grado de la carrera Licenciatura en Comunicación para el Desarrollo, tuvo por objeto caracterizar el acceso y uso de internet en el nivel inicial 1° y 2° ciclos de la Educación Básica, Escuela Básica N° 1290 “San Agustín” situada en el distrito de Humaitá, compañía de Arroyo Hondo, departamento de Ñeembucú, en tiempos de pandemia COVID-19, durante el año 2020. Mediante el desarrollo de entrevistas a actores claves vinculados a la institución, objeto de este estudio, ha sido posible describir la realidad educativa vivida en este contexto, permitiendo identificar las brechas existentes ante la falta de una política de comunicación digital a nivel país. Si bien las docentes, han demostrado contar con las capacidades requeridas para llevar adelante los planes educativos en la modalidad digital, la mala conectividad y la falta de equipos tecnológicos, son algunas de las problemáticas existentes para el acceso y uso de internet en el proceso de enseñanza en esa comunidad educativa rural.

ACCESS AND USE OF INTERNET IN INITIAL LEVEL 1 AND 2 CYCLES OF BASIC SCHOOL EDUCATION IN THE RURAL COMMUNITY ARROYO HONDO OF THE DISTRICT OF HUMAITÁ, ÑEEMBUCÚ PARAGUAY

ABSTRACT

Given the situation generated by the COVID19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Paraguay, made virtual platforms available to the educational community in order to comply with the development of academic activities at the country level. This research with a qualitative approach, of descriptive scope, arises within the framework of the development of the final degree project of the Bachelor's degree in Communication for Development, aimed at characterizing the access and use of the internet at the initial level 1 and 2 cycles of Basic Education, Basic School No. 1290 "San Agustín", located in the district of Humaitá, company of Arroyo Hondo, department of Ñeembucú, in times of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the year 2020. By conducting interviews to key actors linked to the institution, the object of this study, it has been possible to describe the educational reality experienced in this context, allowing the existing gaps to be identified in the absence of a digital communication policy at the country level. Although the teachers have shown to have the skills required to carry out educational plans in the digital mode, poor connectivity and the lack of technological equipment are some of the existing problems for accessing and using the Internet in the process of teaching in that rural educational community.
